How do I use the Windows XP Recovery Disc included with my notebook?

STEP 1: Create the Recovery Disc for Windows Vista Business First

Toshiba does not provide a Windows Vista Recovery Disc that came pre-installed with the machine.  You can create one by using the Recovery Disc Creator located on your Windows Vista desktop, or from the start menu.

Click Start --> All Programs and select Recovery Disc Creator. (requires 1 or 2 blank DVD media)

After creating the Recovery media for Windows Vista, you can then proceed to step 2 below......

 STEP 2: Windows XP Recovery

NOTE : Please ensure you have backed up all important information from your system before proceeding with this process, as  ALL DATA will be erased on the Hard Drive if you proceed.

a.            Please insert the Windows XP Recovery disc (labeled Disc 1) into the CD/DVD Rom and Switch off the machine.

b.            Repeatedly press the F12 key as you turn on the machine to display the boot menu.

c.             Select the DVD/CD ROM option from the boot menu.

d.            Follow the step by step instructions.
